We had an early dismissal from the kids today, due to some in-service training time. It feels weird to only have the students for 60 minutes at a time, instead of the full 90 minutes. It felt like as soon as I finished presenting on surrealism and got them going, I had to turn around and give the speech again. I barely had time to catch my breath! I guess I am just so used to block scheduling. I wonder if I would ever survive normal 38 minute periods again. Hmmmm…
Anyways, I did not pick out my outfit last night so I was a little worried that I was not going to be ready in time. And..SURPRISE! I was not out the door on time. Ha!
It has just been so tough getting up in the mornings. Winter is the worst for that. Just staying in bed feels so cozy, it is pure torture to get out of the blankets. It would also help if I was keeping up with my blasted New Year resolution of 8 hours of sleep a night. I suck. Well, back to the outfit. I decided to whip out my pretty silk dress since we had the short day and none of my classes were painting today. Yes…I dress around what medium my classes are working in for that day. Welcome to the world of an art teacher!
